Hi guys
My 
S12 GP with FJ20E makes a strange rattle. I have read about the mazda chain tensioner and typical FJ20E rattle on FJ20.com but I am wondering if this sound is normal?
It does exactly like they said that it does rattle when started but it also rattles when I hit the 2000RPM area.
I have included a video of it. Some advice please guys.

I´m not shur, but my S12 makes nearly the same noise around 3500 rpm with you have around 2000.
On mine, it´s an heatshild I think.
About the tensioner, I don`t know.
according Fj20.com it is normal 
i suggest the mazda tensioner mod
depends how much your tensioner and chain worn out 
but bevor you go further in this direction, check all those crap like headshield and other bolt on stuff
Definitively chain & tensioners.
Try with 20W50 Oil, it goes a little bit better (for a short while).
But you have to change both tensioners, the chain and in addition the 2 curved guides soon, before the chain will spring over

Tomorrow Im heading to the Mazda infected area to buy me the mazda chain tensioner 3953-12-500A which is suggested in the FJ20.com engine tech section.
What do you mean bij the 2 curved guides? Any pics/ more info?

Last monday we replaced the chain tensioner with a modded mazda one.
Chain was still looking good so we didn't replace that one.
Chain rattle is gone.
